I would like to remind everyone that Bro. Patrick Craddock, 32°, will be presenting an Apron Lecture at our next stated dinner meeting on January 9, 2014, beginning at 6:30 p.m. EDT. You may invite guests to this meeting regardless of whether they are Masons or Scottish Rite Masons. The cost of the meal is $8.00 and we encourage you to pay for your guests' dinner. Following the presentation, Bro. Craddock will have Bicentennial Aprons for sale if you would like to purchase one (we do not know the price of these aprons yet). Don't forget to make your reservations for yourself and any guests you may be bringing. Phillips, 33°, President of W.A. Price Scottish Rite Club. In was announced at tonight's meeting that Bro. Jim Arnhart, 32° KCCH, will be stepping down as General Secretary as of 1/1/2014. Bro. Jim was presented a nice plaque in appreciation of his service for the Rite by Past SGIG Hoyt O. Samples, 33°. Bro. Bobby Green, 33°, will assume the General Secretary position in 2014.
Ill. Joseph C. Harrison, Jr., 33° Ill. Hoyt O. Samples, 33°, retired as SGIG in Tennessee today. Grand Commander Ronald A. Seale, 33°, has named Ill. Joseph C. Harrison, Jr., 33°, as Deputy of the Supreme Council in Tennessee. We want to thank Bro. Hoyt for his service and congratulate Bro. Joe on his new position. Congratulations to brothers Rice Crabtree, Dennis Wofford, and Johnny Thompson, who, along with 15 other Scottish Rite Freemasons from across Tennessee, received their 33° degrees at the Grand Lodge building in Nashville today.
An outstanding Mercy Shoe Fund event Sunday. A big thanks goes out to everyone who helped make it so good. We put on over 500 pairs of shoes and saw a number of smiling faces. Again thank you so much! - Jim Arnhart
