Thanks to all of the Scottish Rite members and their families that helped with our first shoe distribution of the fall. The event was very successful, as the Valley gave away 575 pairs of shoes to local-area school children, according to Mercy Shoe Fund Chairman Bill Fulks, 33°. The next shoe distribution will be held Sunday, 12/14/14.

Bro. Justin Huggins, 32°, recently completed the Master Craftsman Part II correspondence course from the Supreme Council and was presented with his certificate at the October Lodge of Perfection meeting by General Secretary Bobby Green, 33°. Having already completed parts I and III, Bro. Huggins is the first member of the Valley to complete all three courses.

Bro. Bruce Gibson, 32°, belatedly received his 50 year patent, pin, and hat from Dr. Joel Bremer, 33°, Personal Representative of the Deputy at the October meeting. Pictured are Dr. Bremer and Mr. and Mrs. Gibson. Bro. Gibson is actually celebrating 60 years as a Scottish Rite Mason.
