Here is the tentative schedule for the Fall Reunion. Since it is still a couple of week away, there could be some changes. But, this should give you a good idea of what to expect, including something not seen recently - the conferral of the 6° degree. At tonight's banquet, we honored 12 outstanding men with the rank and decoration of 32° Knights Commander of the Court of Honour. We congratulate these men and thank them for their service to the Chattanooga Scottish Rite. For $30, you can order a freshly prepared Boston Butt to be delivered during the Fall Reunion. For more information, contact the office. According to Wikipedia, Boston butt is the most common cut used for "pulled pork," a staple of barbecue in the southern area of the United States. Pulled pork is prepared by smoking at lower cooking temperatures (typically 200-250 degrees) and is then pulled from the bone and served with or in a barbecue sauce. Today, several members of the Valley and their family members, along with some special guests from the Lions Club, helped outfit approximately 450 children with new pairs of shoes. It was the first of two Mercy Shoe Fund distributions this fall. The next will occur on Sunday, Dec. 1. The Fall 2013 edition of the Chattanooga Scottish Rite News is here. Going forward, look for the newsletter to be both sent to your home and posted here.
