Mark your calendars for a great evening of fellowship at our stated meeting on October 8th, 2026. We are very fortunate to have as our guest speaker, Illustrious S. Brent Morris, 33°, Ph. D., G.C.. He will join us for a meet & greet, dinner, and a talk/discussion for the evening.

S. Brent Morris, 33°, Grand Cross, is founder of the Scottish Rite Research Society and founding editor of Heredom, their annual transactions. He most recently retired from the Supreme Council, 33°, Southern Jurisdiction, after seventeen years as Managing Editor of the Scottish Rite Journal following four years as Director of Membership Development. Prior to working for the Supreme Council, he put in twenty-five years as a mathematician with the federal government and has been on the faculties of Duke, George Washington, and Johns Hopkins Universities.

He is a Past Master of Patmos-Solomon’s Lodge No. 70, Savage, Maryland, and Quatuor Coronati Lodge No. 2076, London, a Past Junior Grand Deacon of the United Grand Lodge of England, a Fellow of the Philalethes Society, and Past Grand Abbot of the Society of Blue Friars. He is the author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Freemasonry, co-author with Illustrious Arturo de Hoyos, 33°, Grand Cross, of Is It True What They Say About Freemasonry?, and author, co-author, and editor of several other books. He is a Fellow of the Scottish Rite Research Society and the S.R.R.S. annual lecture is named after him.

He is a member of the York Rite and many other Masonic bodies and is past everything except redemption.
